the reason theyre down is because of all the people whos got a ps4 for christmas so this may continue to go on but touch wood it doesnt

yeah christmas newcomers have over loaded the servers! like launch day it'll be back up full operational in a few hours, and over the next few days getting better and better but who know given a hour or so it may be back to normal!
