PS4 Remote Play is designed for use with Vita, PS TV and supported Xperia Smartphones, but if you’re willing to mess about a bit you can use it with any Android device.
Developer TheScriptKitty has released an Android APK which unlocks official Remote Play app from You must login or register to view this content. for use on other devices.
You can grab the APK from the You must login or register to view this content., but be warned – installing unofficial software on your Android is risky, and can make you vulnerable to all sorts of malicious activities.
We haven’t tried this ourselves but Reddit users seem to be making a go of it; hit the link for instructions.
Regardless of the app’s functionality, you’re still subject to the same troubles that can interfere with official Remote Play – dodgy WiFi and adapted controls.
