Have you contacted the scammer?: I was in contact with them until a few days ago. I saw where another dispute opened up on the guy/girl and I got worried (especially after their name change), having never been scammed on NGU before. I purchased an Auction listing for their Jailbroken PS3 listing (linked above). They've sent several messages from just a few days beforehand (which I still have in my inbox - not sure how to post those), assuring me that they sent it. Nothing has been received yet, a dispute opened up on the person and they've been offline for days now.

Other comments: They supposedly "dropped it in the mail" on Saturday, January 19th. Today's mail ran (January 28th) and nothing has been received. This is the first time I've posted a Dispute on NGU, so please don't beat me up if I've posted something incorrectly... I just want the product I spent over $200 on.

Apologies for the double post, but now it seems that he's changed his/her name to "Hamburger Elite". This just happened. Obviously s/he's ignoring the previous dispute as well as my PMs to them.

Yes I did send it as a gift. Thank you for the advice... contacting PayPal as I type this.

I cannot open a dispute on PayPal.com -- error message stating: "We're sorry, but this transaction cannot be disputed because it is not a purchase of goods or services. Please contact the recipient directly."

I'm calling PayPal directly right now (on hold).

I sent this as a gift (as I do all transactions on NGU). Advice?

Ownage, thank you so much for your lightning quick responses. I read what you wrote and told the operator with PayPal what transpired using your advice. (Thank God I sent the money as a gift!)

They said that they would get in contact with the seller: if the seller doesn't respond, doesn't ship the item or they don't hear back from me, that they would withdraw the funds from that seller's account within 10 days. They advised me to keep checking my email over the course of the next 10 days for further updates.

User has been banned, I hope you get your money from PayPal, too many ignored disputes from the user!

Thank you, Jake. Yeah, they weren't responding to my PMs any longer even though they had the time to post porn. Oh well: there's a special place in Hell for thieves. I, too, hope PayPal can come through on this... that's quite a lot of money to have pissed away. I guess this can be closed, but I appreciate all of the efforts of the mods. Thanks so much.
