The game looks really interesting but like most Final Fantasy online there is always that monthly fee I hate, 12.99 a month is not worth it for me due to the fact you pay $142.89 a year with the first month free when the game comes out and $155.88 after.

Well isn't majority of US games are like that? I know korean mmo are always free to play but they have these thing called cash shop.

Well that's an option like those Pay to win games but I rather like the option of Free overall since I already paid for the game or at least 6 months free instead of 1 and it's not just US it's worldwide in Europe and Japan as well where you have to pay each month. I get it's to keep the server running but I see Aion running just fine and it's free now and actually growing more then before.
