Second I Ave Been able to change the size of a patch_mp.ff and added GSCs then the patch_mp.ff it wasn't working it was crashing the game
so the zone has a gsc of more and i didn't remove any strings or anything from the zone just added a GSC
then i modified the offsets 0x00 && 0x10 && 0x20 changed the bytes to a bigger value and the game was running when I started the Map Dome or any it started to load then gave me an error "error Out of memory" so maybe the value was really to big but it would be fun to know what am modifying (whats these values)

Stuff I sure
I figured that GSC files starts with the bytes 00 FF FF FF FF then the size followed with FF's and end with the bytes 00 any how i added the gsc and figured

theory I might be Wrong
when i didn't edit the offsets 0x00 && 0x10 && 0x20 it seem like it didn't load the full patch so crashed so if i would find the right value might be possible of might not be possible if the game doesn't load more then a certain size

sorry my English is bad am french

look I have successfully added gscs manually to a patch but the problem is that not only do i over ride the strings that are necessary to call for the dlc maps to be activated and working, I lose the patched gsc updates (stability in game) if you want to increase the gsc sizes go ahead and try but world at war is not optimized for consoles like the IW cods are. also you must have two raw file counters for the seperate raw files example yoursexygschere.gsc and patch_mp.ff and if you are remaking the patch_mp.ff you must delete the dds data that is held in the patch_mp.ff also otherwise you will get and out of memory error (data located after the patch_mp rawfile located at the end of the patch_mp.ff). and to answer your first question I believe your are looking for the dvars ui_hardcore 1(not too sure if this is the right dvar exactly but it is the dvar that toggles hardcore mode on and off) and compass 1.

oh okay here is a good start You must login or register to view this content.

1. add a rawfile pointer to the asset table 00 00 00 22 FF FF FF FF
2. add a Int32 Asset Count (however many you wish)
3. null the dds data header located at 0x22 - 0x27 and null the dds data located at 2685BD to the end of the patch_mp.ff
3. locate patch_mp rawfile (add to the header data) rename or null out
4. add your new rawfiles starting at the patch_mp rawfile
5. add the patch_mp rawfile at the end of the patch
6. fix the Int32 SIZE at 0x2-0x4 to the new patch_mp pointer
