(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Not many people actually know or use this, so here is a tutorial.

You will need a PC version of the game, I download the game from a free source which can be found all over the internet (torrents). I also used alterIWnet so I can play online and test my patch out. I would suggest you get alterIWnet as I'm not too sure if it works without it.

So, onto the steps of testing your patch with the PC version:

1) After you have installed your MW2, download the alterIWnet patch below

You must login or register to view this content.

You will need Winrar or another program which can open 7zip files.

2) Copy over the stuff in the .7zip file into your MW2 directory. Yes to overwriting everything.

You must login or register to view this content.

3) Open alterIWnet_configure.exe and chose your name and press save.

You must login or register to view this content.

4) Download the ModLoader program by AgentGod

You must login or register to view this content.

5) Copy and paste everything from this .7zip file into your MW2 folder (I dont think this one actually has to be in the MW2 folder, but thats where I have it) Yes to overwrite anything

You must login or register to view this content.

6) Get a patch and open it in .ff viewer. Open the _missions.gsc and ANY other .gsc's that are used. Now press CTRL + A to select everything or just select everything. Press CTRL + C to copy, or just copy it.

You must login or register to view this content.

7) Go into your MW2 folder and make a my folder called MyPatch. Then another folder inside that folder called maps. Now another folder inside that called mp. Now the last one called gametypes. This are the same as the directories of the files inside the .ff patch you have opened.

You must login or register to view this content.

Cool Man (aka Tustin) Now make a .txt files in that gametypes folder (Or whatever the last directory is inside the .ff patch file) and call it _missions (Or whatever the files name is that you have your mods in) and change the file extension to .gsc. Yes to the message that comes up.

You must login or register to view this content.

9) Now, open that file in wordpad, or right click, open with, select a program from list, wordpad.

10) Copy the entire contents of that .gsc file in the .ff patch into that new file. now CTRL + S or file, save.

You must login or register to view this content.

11)Now open MW2_Modder.ini in wordpad, same as last time if its not default.
Now, change Mod0 to Mod0=MyPatch (Or whatever you called that folder) and CurrentMod to CurrentMod=0.

You must login or register to view this content.

12) Go into the folder called players in the main MW2 folder, then open config_mp.cfg in notepad (Same as last time if its not the default)

13) Press CTRL + F or Find. Then search for fullscreen. Change this to 0.

You must login or register to view this content.

14)Now start iw4mp.exe, this should start the game in multiplayer. Also start LoaderX.exe (Right Click, Run As Administrator for Win Vista and 7)

You must login or register to view this content.

15) Click Play, Private Match, then set the Private Match up to your liking.

16) Press Start game, then press the windows button. Now quickly (before it loads) press Auto Inject on the ModLoader.

You must login or register to view this content.

17) Now chose your team, and the patch is loaded!

You may want to have the keys shown up on screen to let you know what you have to press

You must login or register to view this content.

The good thing about this, is that you don't even have to close MW2 to load another patch. Just open up the _missions.gsc file and edit it. Save it and start from step 16 again!
