Post: For those with a Xbox S and Phat Xbox, HDD solution.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have both a Phat Xbox and Xbox S. My Phat Xbox is my "mod" console, upgrades, LEDs, flashed etc etc. While I use my Xbox S as a Netflix/DVD whore on the big screen upstairs. Well, my Phat 120GB HDD failed and all I had left was a lousy Phat 20GB HDD. So I decided to take apart my broken 120GB HDD for no real reason at all and I noticed that the SATA/connector cable can plug directly into the Xbox S HDD.

^ Perfect fit (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! AWW SNAP! :p )

^ Works like a charm!

I put my 20GB into the Slim console. Since I do not save anything to it. Works juuuuuuuuuuuust fine =D Just wished I knew about this before I spent $30 on a damn HDD that lasted 2 weeks!!!

So, if you wanted to get the GOW 3 320GB HDD, just use your old HDD SATA connector and your good to go. No need to flash. Although I bet you could pick up a 320GB HDD cheaper than the official Xbox one. Obviously, you can plug your old HDD back into the SATA cable with no issues at all. The Xbox S HDD can go back in and work just fine back in the Slim console. I never noticed seeing this anywhere, so if it's already posted please don't kill me...

Any chance you could do a video for this, or a more detailed guide somehow? I've recently just bought a new fat Xbox 360 and Datel's XSATA cable, and tried it yesterday only to realize the Xbox 360 is just a little too small to fit that big circuit board thing in place. It would be great to know how to make the XSATA connect, or whatever else method there is to transfer data between my Xbox 360 and PC.

Nice find, I'll try this on my spare 1TB Go Flex.
