Save Point
This is lame. I just fixed mine the right way a few weeks ago. I cleaned up the old thermal paste, added new paste, then put the old x clips back on with a few plastic washers( home made) to keep the heatsinks from loosening up again. IT cost me $10 for the paste, and $10 for a set of torx bits and only a few hours of time. I used You must login or register to view this content. tutorial but decided against drilling it out as stated in the tut.
