You can bypass the patch & still play solomons.
There it a tut in miscellaneous games section.

delete the patch in game data then start game, say no to patch
& go to single, from single choose multiplayer & pick lan.

you can not be signed it & you have to play alone but alone
is better anyway.

I do Tesoro Azul. The one in the middle of Mexico. It gives me about 1100-1300 per completion when I'm alone. It's a bit tricky to do it quickly, but I tend to snipe the roof top guys from on top the ridge and shoot anyone else I can see, than charge in with a high powered pistol or the mauser. Once the reinforcements come, I go back outside with the bolt action rifle and henry repeater.

Goes by pretty quickly when you get the pattern down.

Great thing about Tesoro Azul, there are ammo resupply's to your left immediately after you enter the base, from either side.

thanks pocket for that info. they need to make a red dead redemption forum for this site. also the person who said they were doing azul have you tried that recently online and if you still get those amount of points? if so please comment back. me and a buddy are trying to do it online and feel since they patched it that there is no more fun in the game kinda sucks i feel
