The cool thing about the Kinect, Microsoft’s answer to motion technology, is the fact that there are no needs for controllers. Your body is the controller. But there has been worries about the new Microsoft technology when testing the game while sitting down. The Kinect wouldn’t be able to read the bodies playing a game sitting down, only standing up. The problem stems from the fact that the base node originates from the bottom of the spine. This is a problem because when sitting down, a player’s knees would block the pelvis.

But now this problem won’t be a problem. What’s Microsoft’s solution to this problem? It’s as easy as just changing the base node from the bottom of the spin to the back of the neck.

This is good news, but only for future games, since current launch games are too late to be updated. Some developers who wanted players to play while sitting and lying down decided to take matters into their own hands, since this issue wasn’t fixed before.

Kinect is bad ass.....I watched some of the videos on how it works...how it identifies you and some other stuff on XBL. To be honest I think its awesome and was really planed out. I thought at first it was going to something just thrown together and have problems with....not what i expected when I saw them videos lol
