(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright so here's the story.

I bought this xbox 360 (benq) a 2 years ago from a friend and it worked ok. After 2 weeks i decided to flash it with succes.
Went good for a couple of weeks till i orderd a blue cooling fan.

I build it into the xbox and bam, 3-pin blown up.

After that, i added a pc power supply to power the blue fan's and enjoyed it for a couple of month's and then i got the rrod and tossed it away in a closet and bought a ps3. Yesterday i took it apart, replaced some paste and fixed the cpu socket with some rubber (that caused RROD) so it starts 9 out of 10.

But man, the pc power supply makes hella noice. Gotta wear a headset lol. 1 advantage is the fan's running on full power.

Now my question for a tech guy:
Are there any other points to solder the fans to so it gets it feed from the xbox itself? Like, blowing harder when needed etc?

Thanks for reading.

Uh buy a new one? Cooler? Like i said, the 3-pin on the mobo are blown up...

The fan works okay, when it runs on other powersource. I've solderd the 12/5v and 2 ground cables at the power input so now they run 12v constant. Makes less noise though than a PSU.
