Some of the older heads might remember me and my brief stint on the pro circuit with Ogre 2 and Walshy in Shadowrun. Well, since then I've moved on and became a software engineer. And I have developed something that all of you should be interested in.
It is the first comprehensive diagnostic utility for Xbox 360 controllers. Called the Controller Doctor, it runs a series of tests on your controller and reports back with its health. Having over 10 examinations, it checks your letter buttons, thumb sticks, triggers, bumpers and d-pad. It even has a test that clocks the speed of your triggers so you can see which one of your controllers will get off its shots quicker.
I'll share a quick story of its success so far that occurred with me. I was almost done the app when I went out to the store and bought a new controller. I decided to give a go on Controller Doctor to make sure it was okay. Luckily I did because I found out its left thumb stick was broken. I then went back to the store that day and got another controller that actually worked this time.
So before you use your controller in a tournament be sure to run Controller Doctor on it to make sure it won't fail you!

Xbox Live: From the Dashboard, scroll up to Game Marketplace and select the Explore Game Content tile. Then scroll up to Games & Demos and select the third tile named Indie Games. Now you can find Controller Doctor a number of ways, looking at Newest, Top Downloaded or in the C index.
There is also another game, to tell if your controller turns normal, or slow.
These are both very useful games, I bought them both. I have a brand new controller, and everything is fine with the buttons. But when I went to Slowturn checker, my controller turns slow to the right.
