you can pay microsoft points and get it changed. i think its 800 points not sure but i think thats $10 if you make a new acc it gives yu a name and one free name change. the best thing would be to pay to get it changed otherwise you will get the code of conduct thing in your bio and motto and stuff. +rep if i helped and PM if any problems

It costs $10.00 worth of microsoft points to change your name (which can be purchased on your xbox using a credit card). When you go into the section to change your name, you can purchase them then.

To change your name press the middle button on your controller (the home button with the big xbox logo on it) so it opens the small pop up menu. Scroll over to preferences and down to Edit Profile. In their you should be able to change your gamertag in exchange for the small cost.

Another option would be to "mod" (modify) your gamertag, although this can be challenging, especially for those who have never modded their gamertag before. You can change your gamertags content, color, and even add buttons into it. These are most commonly found in Modern Warfare 2. Modding your gamertag only works per game and on some games you cannot mod your gamertag or you will get banned for doing so.
