To put music on Xbox you only really need your USB Drive, stick the Music on their and then put it into your Xbox, then go to System and transfer them over to your hardrive if you want them on their if not just play them off there.

you can put a cd of the music in and rip it to your main hdd, or you can put all the music on a usb and just play it off the usb. That is the only way you can do it really. A transfer cable will not help you in this matter, the music is converted into another format, I forget what it is

It's a pain in the a** to put music on your Xbox. You can't do it from a USB and it's hard to do it from CDs too. I think it has to be an official CD (bought from a store) to be able to rip music off it. If it's a burned disk, it's almost impossible to be able to rip it to your Xbox. The best way for me is by using my computer as a media server and doing it that way.

I use USB, also shared files, i put in my music in it, but USB is better cause you don't have to keep connecting your computer to your xbox.

I remember buying plain CD's about 2 weeks ago, put music on there, then loaded it up to Xbox but it didn't read my disk so it would open, anyone know of that problem? :S
