I heard that the new xbox's can use a USB external hard drive as storage. Is this accurate? Do I need to do anything special or just plug and play? Can this harm my system?

Where in Canada are you? Im in the GTA - Ontario . I bought mine at WalMart then price matched it and got money back because future shop was selling for less

You can use an external hdd but Microsoft only allows you to use 16gb of it. This is how I have my current 4gb slim set up.
