(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I fixed a friends 360 just the other week from 3 red lights. All of a sudden last night it froze and showed the 3 lights again. When I turn it on now the fan alternates in speed then the lights appear. There is no error showing on the TV infact nothing is showing on the TV. How do I fix this?

Might need reflowing.

Is reflowing placing the fans over the DVD drive and CPU heatsink? If so I have done that.

Any more help on this?

RROD often occurs when the solder joints crack, reflowing just heats up the solder to the right amount in a controlled way so they melt and form back to place

it probably does need this done by somebody that knows what their doing and not a shoddy job done by following a youtube video, a re-ball would also be nice if you know somebody that does it

no reflowing is when you heat up the lead free solder balls under the cpu or gpu so they melt and form new balls under the chip, reball is when you completely replace the solder balls with leaded ones this is the ultimate fix to cpu and gpu related problems. I do do reflows for about 25$

I use a hair dyer for reflowing work good for me
Is that a good technique?

i highly doubt you use a hair dryer unless its a hair dryer from hell that reachs around 800F

It gets really hot. its a professional hair dyer.

Also my friend said microwaving it works also but i prefer not to find out xD
