I sold my ps3 and brought an xbox slim for several reasons:

all my friends have xbox's, so i wanted to play with them. Party chat :y:
reliable xbox live, has never been down since I got it.
dashboard looks better and has more features in my opnion.

im happy i got an xbox in replacement, it takes sometime to get use to the controllers, but I did and I must say I do pretty well on xbox, compared to people who have had it longer than me

I like xbox better for several reasons, one of them being our network doesn't go down as often.

I have both consoles purely cos I'm waaaay to greedy to give up my ps3. I mostly just use it now for a media purposes. I have a 3D tv and tbh if you want to buy a bluray player with 3d capabilities you're going to pay right through the roof. But for gaming only, you likely made the right choice once you get used to the controls. I just like to keep both consoles for the exclusive only games, i.e Infamous on ps3 and Halo on Xbox

Xbox is good, but Ps3 is as well, it's all about preference.
