Unplug it, damp a towel and keep it wrapped in it for a few hours, if not you need a new fan, or inner-cooler. Your Xbox over heated.

Have you tried turning it off then back on?

Let it sit for a day or two in a damp towel. It needs time to cool off :/

but your xbox sounds like its about to take off and fly away like mine but mine over heats to after a while. I think because how old the xbox is. Mine is like 6 years old.

More than likely your heat sink isn't pulling the heat produced by the console. This happens when the thermal paste drys out and becomes brittle. Without this working properly the console can overheat in seconds.

Take it apart and put some new paste on it, if you know what your doing.

OK i have had 4 of my Xbox's do this all you need to do is it leave it on the red ring of death for 5-10 min then shut it off then turn it back on and it should start working like normal the thing is that it is a temp fix until you get the supplies you need to actually permanently fix the problem so i hope it does work for you man it is really sad when your Xbox gives that to you. ill be seeing you on Xbox add me GT: x0pticxNinjax
