Personally I don't like the name because its going backwards from the 360 and it can be confused with the first Xbox. At least it's not as bad as one of the past names it was rumoured to be called, the "Xbox Infinity".

id of prefered it like many of my xbox friends if they made it xbox 720. xbox 1 instantly pictures in my mind the first xbox.

I don't like the name to be honest, could of been a lot more creative..

Playstation 4 isn't that creative either but atleast it's just simple and is the 4th console, where as "one" reminds me of the very first one yet it's like the 3rd.

Does anybody else not see that it's going to follow the Sony's trend of series. Like ps1, ps2 , ps3 ad soon .... Now it's going to be Xbox 1 ,2 and so on...

The called it the Xbox one because it has one X on the box.
