Xbox One's Live TV service will only be available in the United States at launch, with Microsoft 'anticipating global scale over time,' according to an official press release.
Xbox One Live TV, unveiled at Microsoft's recent Xbox One reveal event, will enable you to 'navigate and watch live TV from your cable, telco or satellite set-top box through your Xbox One.' The service is a big part of Microsoft's central message that the Xbox One will be an all-in-one games and entertainment device, so naturally the publisher is stressing its commitment to 'bringing live TV through various solutions to all the markets where Xbox One will be available.'
The service will not be supported out of the box; Xbox One Live TV will require a separate supported receiver device with HDMI output to work.

I like how this was not mentioned at the event. That is so stupid, they spent nearly and hour talking about the tv features and just 'forgot' this. Also I was thinking it would only work in the US at first.
looks like your going to need a sky hd package then or a sky hd box , as theyre the only ones with a hdmi out i would assume. unless of course they bring one out specifically which is more than likey but who actually knows..
Wow that will hurt in sales other countries help alot with sales to almost as much as the US does o well.
Won't have much of a impact.
Somebody from the PR team talked about this after the event problem is with a event like this. You don't have enough time to tell people all the details and show off all the stuff you want.

Thats the thing they already knew it wasn't going to work in other countries but never said a word just to try and boost the sales up the kept quiet.
