This is a rumour, but it's an educated rumour. According to a guy who calls himself 'interference', the Xbox One may be getting a hardware upgrade. This is what he has to say ''Apparently, the story is that MICROSOFT has gone to devs for feedback on a few different things, two of them being an increased GPU clock and an increase to 12 GB of gigabytes of total sysem RAM.
Devs have to list which spec changes they prefer in order of importance. So nothing is confirmed as of yet, just options MICROSOFT is getting feedback on.
However, I do have someone else telling me (also from a dev source) that we shouldn’t be surprised to see 12GB of RAM in the final box and that it isn’t as hard for MICROSOFT to do as we think.''
What do you guys think, MS has already increased the GPU clock speed, via a re-designed driver. Could we really see 12GIGS of RAM in the final box?
I know, this news is old. But, i haven't seen anyone post it yet.
RAM is cheap, so I don't really think that there is a big deal here. I don't really think that this will happen though, although I would like to see it happen. Unfortunately once most people pick a side no matter what the other side will offer, it's not going to matter. The One could end up being 100x faster due to better developers being paid big bucks to make great apps for it, and people wouldn't buy it. The same can be said for Sony with regards to MS fans.
Indeed... I will pick SONY, they were the ones who saved us from DRM, they were the ones who put gamers in front of everything else. Microsoft doesn't deserve any sales. I myself own an Xbox 360 and a PS3 (Jailbroken), and for that fact, i think that the 'Premium Multiplayer' was a great choice. With the money from PS+, SONY will provide us with better servers, services, and much more. Great move SONY!

Looks like Xbox are lost (not hating or anything) . Sony knew what they wanted from the beginning, and didn't change a single thing. Xbox is kind of lost, adding and removing all these things. But I hope that this would happen, would like to see Sony's move
It will change nothing. 8 gigs of DDR5 is still superior to 12 gigs of DDR3. It's all about the quality, not quantity.QUOTE=BBish;5399900]Looks like Xbox are lost (not hating or anything) .
