Go to your Settings page by clicking your name in the upper right of the page, then Settings
In the Settings menu on the left side of the page, click Defaults
Use the defaults menu to set your defaults. Options that can be defaulted are privacy, category, title, license, tags, suggested edits, and more
Click Save

Now when you upload a video, you'll see the default fields pre-set according to your choices.

You’ll still be able to change settings after you upload.

If you're a partner: Partners can set defaults for monetization and ad format. For partners who have monetized one video in the past and have not selected default monetization to be off, the default setting for monetization is set to ON. Un-check the "monetization" option in the Defaults menu and click Save to turn off monetization by default.
