Exactly, also might I add. Don't make yourself look fake on YouTube. People can spot it. Having 1000 subscribers with 50 views per video just does not cut it. People will not subscribe to you if they notice that you are a fake.
Post content regularly, come up with days to post content.
Hosting free giveaways is always a positive once you reach your mark. You can giveaway 10$ cards at every 100 subscribers, or:
100 Subs
500 Subs
1000 Subs
2500 Subs
5000 Subs
10,000 Subs
Each of these can be giveaway marks with something slightly bigger. This gets people to actually pay some attention to your channel and to check back to see if maybe they won. They might tell friends about your channel with the chance to win. (Caution, you can fake these and faking does happen but it is best not to)
