Today I will show you how to SECURE a YouTube channel with the new Google+ update! This will be helpful if you're buying/trading a YouTube account and you don't know how to secure it. To see the images... Right click the image and hit "Open Link In New Tab"

Click on the "Security" tab and change ALL the information, make sure to add Two Step Verification for best security.

Make sure you ENABLE Two Step Verification, change the password, add a recovery phone/email, and if you'd like turn your phone alerts on to make sure if your YouTube ever gets jacked it sends you text messages to your phone to warn you that your password, email etc. was changed.

Changing The Primary Email

This is were things get a little tricky and may take awhile.
First, head over to You must login or register to view this content.
Answer all of the basic questions on the page. Full name, YouTube username and contact email address.
Make sure you use the email you log into your YouTube with as your contact email to make things 2x faster.
Once you have finished filling everything out, go down to "Please Select The Issue You're Experiencing" and click "Other"
In the "Describe Your Issue Here" box put the following:

Hello! I'd like to unlink my YouTube from the current email address to change it to one of my other emails. Can you please help me out with this? Thanks!

Then submit the ticket.
You should get an email within 24 hours asking if you would still like to make this change reply to the email saying you still would like to swap your email address.
They will then email you back telling you they have changed the password to something random. This is were you log into YouTube with the name of the channel (NOT the email) and your new password.
You can now swap the Gmail! Once you've swapped the password, you will be on the Gmail account you linked the name to, not the random password they gave you.

Keeping your account secure -> Don't use Yahoo, use your own domain email and put different information about yourself on every website so no one can social engineer into your account.

Thanks for posting, I forgot to mention this.
I learned this the hard way awhile ago when ALL my Yahoo emails got jacked.

Also, sorry for posting this in the wrong section.
I reported this thread to be moved to the correct section.

Edit: Problem solved
