Title teases, Hammerfell and a build that's been playable since 2024

Still no release date, but TES6 is slowly creeping out of hiding. Back in August, Xbox boss Asha Sharma said she'd played an early build and called the scale and story incredible. Her post blanked out the title with eight asterisks, and fans reckon that points to "Sentinel" as the subtitle.

The latest reports say playable builds have existed internally since 2024. It's on Creation Engine 3, with far fewer loading screens and overhauled NPC animations. Hammerfell is all but locked in as the setting, and it's apparently the biggest thing Bethesda has ever made.

Ex-Skyrim lead Bruce Nesmith also reckons ships could be TES6's big hook, the same way dragons were for Skyrim. He's just guessing from the outside though.

Nearly 15 years since Skyrim. When do you think we actually get it?
