The problem is that everytime I try to go onto multiplayer it says the data is corrupted yadda yadda etc, and it has been reversed to 10th Prestige level 65. so when I press OK and try to go onto multiplayer after the error is displayed it just freezes. Either with a black screen or just freezes on the menu with the sounds also freezing.

I originally had service on it done and somehow the data got corrupted and now the guy who did the service can't seem to fix it or won't bother with it. so here I am, looking for someone to clean up his mess..

OK, but you said you had service done, so I am assuming you had a recovery done. More than likely, something happened during the recovery. I am not sure as much about WAW(I play it, but not very often), but with Black Ops 2, also by Treyarch, if you change stats, prestige, etc. without starting from either a new account, or a fresh prestige, You will get the message on startup something along the lines of "data corrupted, reverting back to original prestige or something like that... It could also be something along those lines since it is Treyarch. Try to see what happens with a brand new account. If it starts up, then you know the recovery is bad.

Also, I remember something happening on my OFW PS3 with COD 4. I would go to play online, and it would give me some kind of error message. I researched it, an unfortunately it was something to do with the fact of an older COD game and network compatability with no fix. The only solution I had for that one was to buy the digital download which worked fine after that. Oddly enough, the same disk I had issues with, I copied to my jailbroken PS3's hard drive, and it played perfectly, which led me to believe that had I messed around with my network settings in the PS3 ports and such, I probably could have gotten it working. But I'm lazy...

Lastly, the symptoms you are describing are very telltale of a shitty disk. Go to gamestop and pick up a used copy(should be able to get it on the cheap), make sure you completely delete anything having to do with the game from the PS3, an re-install the disk. Hopefully it will work for you.

If I go onto a different account on the same Ps3 with the same W@W disc it works without any problems. It's the account that is somehow screwed over. Also the account was totally fresh. Never ever played W@W on it before.

Well then in that case, the recovery is corrupt. sadly to say you're not going to be able to recover it as anyone doing a recovery for you would need to be able to get logged into it(most likely the person who did the recovery knows this and it is why they don't want to do anything with it...don't want to admit they messed up). I'd have to check my menu that I use for WAW, as I said I don't play it often, but I believe that the menu I use I can somewhat remote mod other peoples accounts without logging into it. No stats or anything like that, but rank and unlocks mainly(if I remember correctly...it's been a while)...I'll have to check next time I'm on if my menu allows that or not. I'm not really into doing actual account recoveries such as stats and such, as I find it tiresome and boring...but send a friend request my way(put NGU in the title as I don't usually accept random requests) with your other account or a fresh account if you don't want to take the chance of messing up a progressed account(I always recommend fresh accounts for recoveries anyway). Next time I'm on WAW if you're on, we can try to see if I can at the very least get your other account prestiged and weapons unlocked and the likes. My PSN for COD games is I_Am_Terror_v3(if it says that isn't a valid user, then try with a capitol"V" as I can't remember if I used capitol or lowercase. Please be aware, I have been having some trouble since converting to DEX with some games due to modified eboots and patch files and have been in the process of fixing quite a few games. I am going to test WOW shortly, but I don't think I'll have issues starting up. Also, please be aware, it may be a little while before I get on the game as well.

PS- I don't want your money either if we can get you set up... That's not what this is all about for me...I know how fun this game is, and I just want you to be able to get back on and have fun...Plus, I have no shortage of money sooo...lol

Haha it's alright, I'd pay you anyway if you were able to solve it. About your offer I'd have to gently pass, as I know how to mod W@W myself through a USB. It's the account itself that is precious to me and I want to able to play on excacly that account. Now you might be wondering If I knew how to mod it myself, then why did I get someone else to do it? Well the guy who did the service did the service on many of the CoD series on that account since I don't have a jailbroken ps3 or anything like that I can't really mod any games except for some few, so I though he could just do em all so I wouldn't have to do the hassle myself. Well.. it didn't excacly go the way I had imagined..
