Place a debug eboot in your game files. And you should be able to get online

**HERE IS HOW I JUST FIXED THE BLACK SCREEN**

The game has to be updated to work with 4.65. My PS3 will not play with Multiman anymore so I have to use Irishman. I opened Irishman to play C.O.D.A.W. and boom! Blackscreen! What I did was install Multiman and selected C.O.D.A.W. (even though Multiman will not play games, it still goes through the motions), before the game opened, there was a prompt asking me to make it play on 4.60 instead of 4.65. After the upgrade, Multiman stalls and I open Irishman and clicked C.O.D. and it opened and played. I also did this for WWE2K15 and NBA2K15.

1.) Delete the 1.02 update for Advanced Warfare.

2.) Open Multiman and double check you have BD Mirror and Internal both checked (the game has to be installed on your internal HDD. If it's on your external uncheck internal and check external instead). Then set permissions. Then press start on the game. If Multiman asks to Resign firmware, click yes

3.) Start up Advanced Warfare and download the update.

4.) Go back to Multiman and double check BD Mirror and Internal are both checked. Then set permissions again. It should ask if you'd like to resign the firmware again. Click yes.

5.) Boot the game and it should start. Hope this helps.

The only sure fire way I have gotten CODAW to work on Internal with 4.46 or any other Firmware (Cobra or Otherwise) is copying a fresh version to an external drive (if an original version of the game is not available remove the PS3GAME.CHK, PS3GAMEVR0, & PS3GAME.INI files from the PS3_GAME directory, they are put there when multiman fixes and loads a game. find the original PARAM and EBOOT, usually the PARAM is the only one that has been altered).
With the fresh files on the External remove any updates and load multiman. Leave any game options unchecked ie. BD-mirror, external.
Load the game and when it asks you if you want to fix it for 4.XX firmware select yes, if it asks you again select yes again.
Load the game from XMB and it should work. Now, exit the game and go back into multiman. The last step is to copy the CODAW folder from your external to internal. The game should load fine now from internal.
