it kinda sucks that you cant get any variation on the original iphone, but its understandable. i'm getting the iphone 4 in a few days anyways.

So basically the update 4.0 is shit for the 3G users like me :/ it has nothing compared to what the others get (3GS, Iphone 4)

Tbh unless you jailbreak it or you have a 3GS or a iPhone 4 its not worth updating... just stick with 3.1.3 or 3.1.2 because not many features from cydia work with 4.0 :n: and mine only really works when its in safe mode  but the folders & wallpaper are good Happy

Yes but if im being honest you only need to jailbreak your 3GS or iPhone 4 to get install0us as not much is compatible with iOS4, however if you updated your iPod 2g or 3g (as you stated not MC Models) or your iPhone 3g i would highly recommend jailbreaking as it unlocks the spring board wallpaper & multi-tasking and you can get 'Install0us', 'The Crack Store' & 'AppSync for OS 4.0' ALL from the Sinfuliphonerepo. com source (dont put a space between the '.' and 'com' !!!)

Hey, as stated above, to get the background on your springboard or the multitasking you have to jailbreak it..... There are threads on Ngu to help you out and 1 is linked at the start off this thread Smile

I dont want to jailbreak it because i have done this plenty of times and it just slows my phone down soo much and i hate it :/l

Well with this jailbreak you get the option if you want to:

*Install Cydia
*Verbose Boot
*Custom Boot Logo
*Custom recovery Logo
*Enable Mulititasking
*Enable Homescreen Wallpaper
*Enable Battery Percentage

So you can pick out off the options which you would like, so you dont have to install cydia and slow your pone down, just untick that and leave the bottom 3 ticked Smile
