so when it senses something. it kills the device and messeges you via email and the like. it can go to the extreme to call the police on you. just from jailbreaking the ipod/pad/phone.

so they kill 2 birds with one stone? us casual users, and criminals? jailbreaking has been declaired that it leagle. so why brick our devices?

everyone knows apple are control whores, a 'big brother'. but this is too far. this is pretty much evasion of privacy. call it istalk if you will:mudkip:

so we bought our device, so why don't we own it? on the pcs and other electronic devices, u bought it. u can usually configure the device to ur liking and do anything with it. but apple denies you this privilage.

jailbreakers had freedom for awhile; with themes, mulittasking, and other nice features.

so now apple can sit on there butts and create another device, which will bring billions to their feet.
and there is nothing we can do, exept hope that the patent doesnt get accepted.

When you bought your iDevice and hooked it up to iTunes, you accepted an agreement that voids rights (such as your privacy, so to speak), when used by apps and services installed by default on your iDevice.

Apple has rights to do this. If you really feel that strongly about it, go get a Droid =D

I call bullshit, it is LEGAL to Jailbreak your phone in most places now.. Why the hell would police get involved in something that is legal?

You're a little mistaken, I think.

The purpose of iRadar is simply to prevent theft, by checking things such as extreme differences in the user, and then apple can check to make sure nothing is suspicious, and if so contact the Police.

However, iRadar might also have features that can check for a jailbroken iDevice, and act accordingly. Even though Jailbreaking is legal, that doesn't mean it's required in a device. Apple can still do their best to prevent it.

Sorry but I still don't understand this thread, by saying "iDevices in theft" is he referring to someone thats actually stolen your phone? And then the original owner asking the police to track it down? Or is he referring to just Jailbreakers in general? If Apple do implement an iRadar, why would they go to the extent of monitoring to see actions of a stolen phone instead of just having the user notify them that it has been stolen :\
