(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so Ive never had any apple product before and I'm going to get a iPod touch at some point and I was wondering what exactly is it, and can you get in trouble for it? I heard you can get things for free if you do it and Ive also heard that if you do jailbreak it Apple wont accept it if something happens to it.

but is there a way to restore it? if you can't get in trouble just for doing it and you can restore it and back up songs and all that crap on the computer then I will do it free shit is awesome, but uh yeah what else can you do with a jailbroken ipod besides free apps??

This is a more detailed descryption. Jailbreaking, in general, removes apples restrictions. Therefore you will be able to download apps, musics, and movies for free. You will be able to download third-party apps that Apple doesn't approve of. Such as Winterboard(Themes), SBSettings (more convenient settings), and much much more... As for your second statement. Apple voids your warranty if you do jailbreak as you can cause errors to yourself if you don't know what you are doing, but I myself have never come across any problems. You will always be able to restore your iDevice though. The only real disadvantage of jailbreaking is that it can slow down your device and drain the battery more quickly, but it's common sense. More things running = Slower and more power.

Correct. Under a recent DMCA hearing jailbreaking is legal so no you can't get arrested. It's just that Apple doesn't approve of it. And yea restore it and you would be fine.
