(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); okay i see some other posts about how some people cant downgrade or dont know how. well you dont need to.. go to redsn0w.com ( its not a forum) and it will say a bunch of stuff about redsn0w.com if you scroll all the way down it will say download to windows or mac. select which one you have. download it. then you need to upgrade your ipod touch to the NEWEST firmware. 4.1 the 4.0.2 ( or just use the one you have but the ios 4.1 is pretty cool ) firmware works just fine on 4.1 ipods. you can use the 4.1 firmware just go to the firmware website then go to iphones ipods and ipads and select what ever firmware your 2nd gen ipod is running on

so what you want to do when done downloading ultrasn0w is to open it. it will say select the custom ISPW. i will give it here. all the downloads are at the end of the thread. Okay now click browse. ( best bet is to download firmware to your desktop) go to the firmware on your desktop and click op. then it will load it and shit. it will then ask you if it is an MC model of the ipod touch. ( it wil tell you where to find out also.) click yes or no depending. then it will analize and eveything. MAKE SURE THAT YOU PLUG YOUR IPOD IN AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON UNTILL IT TURNES OFF, FAILURE TO DO THIS COULD HARM YOUR IPOD!!

it will have a check list
cydia
custom boot logo
custom recovery logo
multitasking
and other stuff click what you want.

than click next

then it will have instructions on the screen. after the check list there is another page. right has you click next on that other page it will automatic go to the iinstructions. ( its .GIF type where you have to put your ipod in restore mode. but its almost like hands on. just follow what it says) then it will jailbreak.

thats how to jailbreak the newest firmware.

EDIT:: This JB does work just did it myself sorry for the doubt...BUT there is a catch your wifi will NOT work.

you say "ipod" the whole time, will it work for iphone?

Dude you didn't mention that this Jailbreak is a beta which could definitely influence peoples decisions (mine for eg.)
I'm much happier to wait for an official, easier, fully functioning Jailbreak to be released rather than update just to get Game Centre and have bugs throughout my phone.
PS: Dev Team mentioned that this Jailbreak only worked for a few models? iP4 wasn't listed.
