Im using 4.0.1 because i luvs my jailbreak and they dont have one for 3GS yet

And you can check your version if you dont know how by going to Setting>General>About and it's listed there

4.0.1, about to downgrade to 3.1.2 because the 4.0.1 jailbreak sucks.

yeah you can jailbreak iPhone 3G and iTouch 2G both MC and non-MC models with redsn0w from the ih8sn0w dev team

I'm using an iPod Touch 2G (NON MC MODEL) running 4.1, going to downgrade soon though, tried to downgrade to 4.0.1 and came up with an error, so I'm going to try 3.1.3...

yeah 4.0+ doesnt seem to work well with iTouch 2G or iPhone 3G

well it works fine for me but i would rather have 3.1.2 then 4.0.1 because some of Cydia's programs dont work for 4.0.1, like NES emulator and backrounder(multi-tasking app) but it is extremely hard to downgrade past 4.0.1 but im still trying.
