Theres no way you can "Brick" a iDevice i have tried to do everything to "brick" my iphone 3gs but you cant. DFU mode always fixes it.. But to answer your question you wont be allowed to use a 2g fw on a 1g or vice versa itunes wont allow it nor sn0wbreeze i dont think any custom IPSW program will allow it
