and i gave up on it and im trying to pimp my phone...
but i get gay ass errors.


so can some one help me maybe get my phone to 4.0.1 and jailbreak it..

Not sure if this still works but its worth a shot
1. Download the iOS 4.0.1 firmware for your iPhone and connect the phone to your computer
2. While pressing the Shift key(in Windows) or the option key(in Mac OS X), click on the Restore button for your iphone in itunes.
3. Now browse and choose the iOS 4.0.1 firmware .ipsw file.


This part definitely works

Once you are on 4.0.1 download limera1n (google) its made by geohot.

Connect your iphone to your computer and run limera1n, follow the steps shown and eventually your iphone will be jailbroken
