Put the iPod into DFU mode - then plug it into iTunes and restore it.

Tried it. It has to verify with Apple if its the last computer it was synced with and if it doesnt match it wont let u restore it.

Ah, I see. Then you will need to use ZipPhone and try to get it to unlock.

If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to call Apple - but since it's not your iPod, I doubt that you'll get the help.

Good luck!

On Topic.
Well if nothing works. And you have to call apple. Say you inherited it and it was locked. You don't have the computer. Maybe they will have sympathy for you Smile

bro, turn the iTouch off fully.

Then hold the home button, and while you still are holding the home buttom plug in the USB (make sure the USB is connected to the computer)

Keep holding the Home button until

a 'iTunes' logo and a 'Apple USB' image appear

Once iTunes recognizes it, download the latest firmware from You must login or register to view this content. or here ---> You must login or register to view this content.

Once downloaded, drag the firmware (IPSW) to your desktop

Go to iTunes, and remember the iTouch should get detected

Go click on your iPod

See where it says Restore and Update?

Hold the 'Shift' key, and click restore. (Shift + Restore)

Now find the firmware on the desktop and it should restore Dancing

If this is unclear, just ask me your ?'s Happy
