I wanted to tell you all that if your an unlocker, or depend on an unlock in anyway, please stay AWAY from this update. You might all have heard of Comex, if not, he was the one behind the jailbreakme.com. Hes the one working on an untethered jailbreak for now, it might take some time, so please just dont update no matter how many times itunes begs you. As always, expect an updated version of greenposi0n that supports 4.2 FW on a tethered status, probably in the next couple of days, till p0sixninja finishes it. And again, if you want an untethered jailbreak or depend on an unlock, then PLEASE stay away from this firmware update, its really important and i thought i'd share it with you guys. And also, i will update this thread once anything comes up

yeah, hence why i said it needed to be updated.

If you saved you SHSH Blobs it won't matter if you updated it will stay untethered, and if you were an unlocker you were supposed to be 4.0.1 or Less, because 4.0.2+ Disables the Unlock. If you updated without saving your tethered meaning you have to do the hack everytime you turn off the iDevice, when I mean off I mean like Slide to Turn off or Battery Less.

WRONG!, unlock is never being disabled, *cough* Apple doesnt give a fuk. It just takes time for it to be "re-compiled" the bb exploit has been there since the first iphone.

Sure apple doesn't care since they have a contract with rogers and at&t, and that's why when you update they have to do a new unlock.

Back up your SHSH blobs,
if you're a Mac user you may download them searching Google "Firmware Umbrella".

I'm pretty sure L1merain can jailbreak any 4th generation device no matter what firmware its on...
