At this point in time however, I will be looking at hosting it on jailbroken iDevices, unless I can scrape together $90 to officially release it on the Apple App Store.*

The App will be expected to be released on Cydia in roughly 6 - 8 months. So between now and then, PM me if you wish for suggestions for anything.

I have found out, that at this point in time; no one is developing such an app.

This will be the features of it:
-Shoutbox Landscape/Portrait Mode.
-Able to browse posts/threads easily.
-When in Shoutbox mode, you can hit 'More' and it comes up with usefull BB codes/smilies.
-Able to see the users online section in the 'More' tab.
-Like facebook, you get a little pop-up which says you have a Quote, Private Message, Visitor Message, etc [if turned on].
-Push notifications for up to 7 days [optional].
-If you are a staff user; you can access the vB CP via the 'More' tab.
-Access your own CP in the 'More Tab'.

So far, that's it.
I will post a screenshot, as soon as I am able to make this.

*note: I will not be able to make it just yet; as I am waiting for Cydia to update their store to release ToolChain 3.0 [if it isn't released within the next month; I will try to edit ToolChain 2.0 (it has been proven to work!) don't worry though, this will NOT increase production time]. This app will be FREE to all current and upcoming NGU members, free, premium, or staff members.

Depends. I could base it around the mobile version of the site, which, for the first version, I probably would do that. For the actual shoutbox however, I probably would need to do so. It's just a waiting game till ToolChain 3.0 gets released onto Cydia. What I COULD do, is use the Inferno Shoutbox link (something like You must login or register to view this content.) and use that for the shoutbox. Just a waiting game, shouldn't be too long though, considering ToolChain 2.0 got released into Cydia in 2007.
