If it is stuck in DFU mode then if you are OS 3.x, you can use something to Kick it out of Recovery. Umbrella for Mac maybe.

Or what you can do *back up SHSH hopefully* is instead of Restore, Update. Then once you get it working just downgrade back to iOS 4.x or whatever you're on.

My iPod experienced the iPod.app failure when I enabled it then disabled it, all my music went missing.

Can’t trickshot me!
your gona thank me for this i had the same problem and i fixed it heres how

first open up itunes, then click on your iphone for example (ReaperDaBests iphone) once done your gona have to go in recovery mode, to do this youll have to hold the power and the home and wait till your windows 7 makes a beep error then just let go of the power while still holding the home until you here a second windows 7 beep, follow all the rules this will actually help it better than restoring it!

ReaperDaBest WANTS TO KNOW IF THIS WAS HELPFUL

Hey thanks for both replies. Reaper i tried your method and idk if it worked or not because i figure out that the problem was my itunes wasnt all the way updated. So i updated my ipod, and had to update from a file which i chose 4.1 so i could still jailbreak.

@fool i couldve backed it up but i didnt want go go into too much hassle though. thanks for the help though guys

Just connect it to a computer then restore/update it and you can jailbreak it using l1merain or w/e.
