4.2.1 you can only use redsn0w, only for 4.1 and 4.0 is for greenpois0n, and if ur ipod is tethed and then you can only access cydia and safari by booting them up from your laptop which is shit, so anytime ur ipod goes off then ur ****ed unless ur next to you're laptop/mac/computer/pc.

I would say downgrade your ipod touch to 4.1 and then use greenpois0n.

That should be because of first use it will do that, then you can just click again and it should open as normal? If not try rebooting you're ipod/iphone/ipad and if that does not work, restore, try a different jailbreak
