1. Not sure, it depends if your Model is an MB or MC. (Go to settings -> General -> About: Model)

The first two letters, either MB or MC will tell you what model it is. If its MB then it will work normally if its an MC model then yes it will be tethered.

2. Whatever you want. Verboose boot you will most likely have no use for as it shows all the kernal info on bootup, unless you really care about dev/debug stuff then don't bother.

Cydia is a MUST.
Custom Boot logo - if you want one and have one made then I guess.
Custom Recovery Logo- Same as custom boot logo.
Enable Multitasking - you'll most likely want this.
Homescreen wallpaper- I would as that allows you to put an image(or even a fancy animated one) on the background.
Battery % -it wouldn't hurt and I find it useful

1.) Will this make it Tethered or Untethered ?
2.) Which Options should i choose ? ( Cydia, Battery % Etc )

It's a tethered jailbreak as comex's new userland exploit hasn't been implemented. And you want "Install Cydia", "Boot Tethered" (or whatever the word "tethered" is on) and whatever else you want, although that's all you need.

It's tethered anyway. It needs comex's new exploit to make it untethered.

What firmware are you on, can't you just use You must login or register to view this content. from mobile safari? If you can't use it due to having a newer firmware then check in tiny umbrella to see if you can restore any previous firmwares. If you can just downgrade to 4.01 or something and use site above.

Actually, no I was right. Ihad the wrong version in mind. Checked it up a few mins ago, the "newest" version is untethered. The one I thought of wasn't.

What are you talking about? You where wrong, he can use redsn0w 09.06.b4 to get a untethered jailbreak, and you wrote that he couldn't. Where you right? I don't see you having right. /facepalm

If you mean restoring as going back to another FW or something? Before you restore(right after you JB actually) The first two things you should do is back up your SHSH Blobs using either Cydia(make my life easier) or using a program for your PC known as tinyumbrella. After words install openSSH.

Now if you mean restoring back, as in like re-syncing. Yes you should be able to sync back all of your music, pictures, settings and, videos, or anything else. Now some apps might not want to re-sync now that you've jailbroken your iPod in which case go to cydia and search for appsync and install that. If you want to back up any packages(cydia apps and the JB like) then install AptBackup as that will allow you to sync them with iTunes I believe.

One last thing I find useful is CyDelete, allows you delete packages; springboard apps from cydia, that normally you couldn't delete unless you restore.
