First off you WILL need Update 4.0 or higher on your iDevice.
This app comes from the Actual Apple App Store/ Android Market. NOT INSTALLOUS! (Yet) Also meaning you dont have to have jailbroken to use this!
You will also need to be on a service plan with your smart phones (Androids/iPhones) or on an internet connection/WiFi (Itouch/iPhones without service) for this to work!
So all you have to do is Search 'Touch To talk' It is the beta so it might have some bugs. But the good thing is my Wife has this for her Android so you can use this between different smart phones not just other iPhones/iPods. If you are using an Android, also search 'Touch To Talk' Again it will be the beta. This app was said to be free once it comes out (off beta) SO have fun! Once downloaded you can choose from your contacts in your phone to use this app with.
NOTE: The person you are going to be using the walkie-talkie with will also have to have this app downloaded and set up for you to be able to send and receive voice messages from Touch To Talk.
