First I'm going to take a look at iMob.
My first impressions with iMob are impressive to say the least. It's free, which is great because like a lot of people with an iPhone/iTouch, paying for apps is a pain when there are hundreds of great apps each $0.99-$4.99 (on average). Ok, now we're going into the app itself. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) alone looks pretty good. Everything is organized and not too fancy but not too simple. Getting into the gameplay can be a little rough in the beginning when you're a simple thug but as you progress it definitely get's addicting when you're fighting other people accross the nation and earning respect points. Some of my favorite features about the game is adding friends, fighting other people, and the real time progression. In my opinon the major downside to this game is the friend codes which can be very tedious to add.
Now I'm going to take a look at Mafia LIVE. I'll start off with my first impressions. Well, looking through the app store it costs $4.99. To be honest, I have better things to spend my money on. Going into the app you come across a lower level GUI which could be a turn off, especially if you played iMob first. But it's not all bad, the jobs you have to do are pretty cool. The directions on the top tell you exactly what you need, what to do, where to go. It's very user friendly. The organization of everything could be a little better because when I first went into the app and was messing around it just seemed awkward.
Mafia LIVE:
-Graphic Interface: 7.5
-Gameplay: 8
-Online: 6
-Fun Factor: 7.5
-Overall: 7.25 out of 10.
iMob:
-Graphic Interface: 9
-Gameplay: 9
-Online: 7.5
-Fun Factor: 8.75
-Overall: 8.56
Overall, my suggestion would be to go with the free iMob app for iPhone/iTouch.
