(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys. I was using my iPod today, didn't drop it, bump it or anything and just out of the blue it won't lock. I pushed the lock button harder and tried to hold the lock key and the other button but did nothing.

So I think the whole button is broken. BUT then again I'm not sure since they're made pretty sturdy. Unless it just wore out. Idk.

I plugged it into my ps3 (computer crashes when i plug it into pc) and i got it to lock, unlocked it then it wouldn't lock again. So I decided to let it die, plugged it back in and still nothing. So idk what to do. Don't want to restore it since i cba to jb it again. And the other day I got notified that my IP was reported for copyright inf. so i deleted all my music and everything.

(sigh)

if your iPod is still jailbroken, download SBSetting from Cydia, and from SBSetting you can lock your iPod manually.

yeah do what poiz says use sbsettings.If u cant do it with sbsettings your lock is broken or you need to restore:p

Yea I think the lock button is broke. I have to hardly push it down and at just the right angle for it to lock. But i'll download that sbsettings thing. Thanks guys!

Try going to Settings > General > Auto Lock > 5 minutes?
