You can also try these sequence...
Turn It Off.
When it's Off, hold the power button for 3 Seconds without releasing it hold the home button for 10 seconds and then just hold the home button for 15 seconds.
Then Run Restore or Jailbreak...

run redsn0w and boot tethered just now.
you will have to do this everytime you reboot.
to untether just run greenpoisons latest release.
