well u need to hack it with greenpoison unthetered for 4.2.1 and the first app u will need is installous from cydia (to download free apps ) :carling:
You can also google the best cydia apps to see what u like

ps. make sure u update in itunes to the latest firmware 4.2.1

First off, if you're buying it directly from Apple, use greenpois0n to jailbreak it (only if you're using a mac), I'm not sure if greenpois0n is available to Windows, but if you're buying the iPhone from a private seller which isn't on 4.2.X, then just simply downgrade to the original FW that the iPhone came with (trial and error), until you get the one you want, then press Shift + Restore on your windows laptop, then you can upgrade to any FW.

There are many great apps which come with Cydia, most of which are free.

Here's a quick list I've made up on the spot:
1- Winterboard - allows you to install themes
2- iFile - lets you see/edit where files are saved
3- iProtect - protects your apps from unwanted visitors
4- Installous - free apps!
5- aTube - download videos from YouTube!
6- Volume Boost - search for your firmware to increase the volume!
7- Backgrounder - multitasking
8- Terminal - a command-line based client
9- ScreenRecorder - exactly what it says.
10- Flashlight - removes the Apple brightness limiter and makes it a flashlight.

I'll also be making a thread later on how to hack the app store and how to install Android onto the iPod/iPhone.

Definitely get Cydia. I have fun with many emulators for nintendo 64 and other older games, but sometimes the controls are hard to get used to.

dont up date if u want to unlock phone 4 any sim as 4.2 dosnt let u unlock with repo666.ultrasnow.com u get no real advantage out of 4.2

Cydia automatically comes with the jailbreak... If you don't have Cydia, you don't have a jailbreak.
