Well, this hasn't been posted before, so, here it goes.
In this thread, I'm going to show you a short & easy way how to dual boot your iPhone iOS with the Android OS.
Disclaimer:
I do not take any responsibilities if this does not work on your iPod or iPhone, or if your iPod or iPhone breaks.
Right, with that, let's properly begin.
Your device must of been jailbroken using one of these 3 jailbreak tools:
- PwnageTool
- RedSn0w
- BlackRa1n
If you fit the prerequisites, then install the following repo repo.neonkoala.co.uk and install Bootlace from it. A new icon will be added to your springboard from which you'll be able to install OpeniBoot and iDroid.
You'll then have a dual boot iPhone. I wasn't able to verify this whole process myself but a couple people told me good things about it. If you do give this a shot, make sure to let me know how it's working out for you.
So far, this method has been reported to work on the following:
- iPhone 1G
- iPhone 2G
- iPhone 3G
- iPhone 3GS.
I'm currently working on it to see if it works for the iPod Touch 2G.
EDIT: I have just found out that if you download Bootlace and open it, it will tell you if you can install Android on it or not. If you can't, it will say a message saying something like "This device is not supported".
