I used Greenpois0n to jailbreak my 16gb 2g iTouch without a hitch but cannot speak for RedsSnow,

I have also used Greenpois0n for my iPhone 3GS again with no problems encountered!

Redsnow is really only needed for people who like 2 customize their jailbreak... And unlocked iPhone users... To preserve there baseband.. I suggest just stick with GreenPoison... With a 2g iPod nd 3G iPhones... I think the exploit is the same... "24topwn"". Or something not sure though..

Greenpois0n is all you need man. Fast and easy to use, compatible with boot logo's, untethered etc. Redsn0w is a more complicated and doesn't provide any other features than GP.

If you have an iPhone though you may want to use Pwnage Tool. If you have an iPod, don't worry about it

i disagree i think redsn0w is better for an ipod touch 2g
greenpois0n is for n00bs all it does is jailbreak it and yeah it dose have custom boot logo but there not the same as the redsn0w exploit.(Greenpois0n shows the apple sign and then changes redsn0w is just the custom boot logo(not the apple symbol then the logo)
With redsn0w you have sooooo many opitions like verbose logo enble multi tasking and wall papers (i know you can get them from cydia but the redsn0w one i think is more stable) also nativly incorparate battery percentage and things like that. SO BASSICALLY
Greenpois0n=Quick easy but is for n00bs (especailly if you have a ipod touch 2g or iphone 3g)

I prefer Greenpois0n. Isn't redsn0w still in beta? Last I heard it was. And while the Greenpois0n jailbreak does come with the apple logo turning into the greenpois0n logo, you can change that in Cydia. Just download another logo for 4.2.1 and it will be whatever you want it to be. Greenpois0n is also a lot more stable for me. That's just my opinion, though.

My 2g is jailbroken with redsn0w and i have had no problems with it. If i was going to jailbrake anything i would use redsn0w.

I used green poison on my iPhone 4g 4.2.1. Works like a charm.
