Some new pictures have surfaced claiming to be “mold engineering drawings” of the upcoming iPhone 5. These images are the first ones to seem remotely legitimate and show the iPhone 5 as looking quite similar to the iPhone 4, but with a larger edge-to-edge display.

The sketches have gathered some attention mostly because they fit with the ideas of many tech analysts that the iPhone 5 will aesthetically look the same as the iPhone 4.

The site, iDealsChina, was first to post the images and claims that, “A while back we heard rumors that the iPhone 5 would have a curved back…but these images show the iPhone 5 with the same form factor as the iPhone 4, but with an edge-to-edge screen.”

According to the sketches, the very recent rumours that the iPhone 5 would adopt an aluminum backing to replace the iPhone 4′s glass-back would be proven false. This is, of course, with the big assumption that these sketches are authentic and accurate.

i simply dont think it looks awesome because it looks too similar to the iPhone 4 and makes the phone look more CHUNKEY

the iphone 5 releases sometime in June *NOT CONFIRMED* and the only difference is its supposed to have a slide up/down keyboard to compete in today's new smart phones such as HTC, Palm, ECT.

I think an actual keyboard would be a waste. Aren't these pictures posted in another thread like a month old?

Looks okay, hopefully that isn't the iPhone 5, I'm hoping it will look even cooler.

i doubt these are real. to me they look like someone got bored and played with autocad. they dont look professional enough to have come from apple
