iOS4 User Interface

Whited00r firmwares are based on 3.1.x firmware but it offers a fully modded interface to suite iOS4 one. We are not using Winterboard to achieve this result, so your device will run faster! Unfortunately this firmware can't run iOS4-only applications.

Unlocked

All Whited00r firmwares are jailbroken (with PwnageTool). Latest Cydia is included and fully working. You will find our repo preinstalled. We are also providing unlocked firmwares that include carrier unlock and hacktivation.

Multitasking and Folders

Whited00r firmwares included multitasking and folders. They have been developed by Darlo770. Multitasking is optimized to run on "old" devices with limited ram amount. iPod controls on multitasking dock are working too.

Wallpapers

Whited00r comes with the new iOS4 feature of Home Screen wallpapers. You can easly set it like in iOS4. Moreover, whited00r has the feature of dynamic wallpapers: you can use high resolution images to set Android-like wallpapers.

Native unlocked features

Whited00r unlocks all native features hidden in official Apple firmwares. Battery percentage, Multimedia Messages Service (MMS), tethering via bluetooth and via USB, Tap to Focus in camera, cellular data network fields and Emojii icons are only some examples.

Video Recording

Whited00r includes the best video recording application. It offers the best quality for your videos. Recording quality is better then the one offered by application on AppStore. Moreover video are automatically exported to Photo folder (so you can manage them with iPhoto)

Safari Bookamrks

The Safari browser offers two useful bookmarks: "Search in Page" and a "Flash video converter". The latter enables some kind of flash video in the page you are visiting (like Vimeo or Dailymotion videos). From bookmarks you can also visit the mobile version of whited00r.com and install alphanumeric passcode for your device.

Others Features

You will find other minor features that are not listened here. Whited00r is compatible with iBluenova, A2DP enabler and iBootlace for Andorid installation (dual boot). Visit the forum via "More info" button for power user tweaks.

Normal or Unlocked?

You should choose Normal release only if you can legitimately activate you device via iTunes AND you don't need carrier unlock (so you are using the original SIM card or your iPhone is factory unclocked). All other users should choose Unlocked firmwares. If you are not sure use Unlocked firmwares. Unclocked firmware need a Push-Notifications patch after the installation. iPhone 3G firmwares only include Activation: you have to install Ultrasn0w via Cydia after installation. Both Normal and Unlocked firmwares includes jailbreak and Cydia.



Full or Lite?

We provide two different Whited00r firmwares based on iOS3. Full edition includes all features (same of them can be added via our Cydia repo too), so if you want a great upgrade use this. Lite editions offer better performances since HomeScreen Wallpapers and Multitasking are not included.



With or Without MMS?

Currenlty v4.3 with MMS enabled is not available for downlaod. Please wait for it.

iPhone 2G users can choose between two kind of firmwares. I suggest using the MMS enabled release only if you really need MMS and Tethering. If you don't use these features I suggest usign the "without MMS" version since it doesn't use a patched CommCenter so you battery could last more.



iOS3 or iOS4 Based?

iOS4 Based firmware has not been released yet. It would require lot of time before it is ready.

iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G users can choose between iOS3 or iOS4 based firmware. Firmware on iOS3 is really faster then iOS4 based one, but you can't install iOS4+ only apps from AppStore. We reccommend using iOS3 based firmwares since old device runs really slow on iOS4.



Do I need Apple original firmwares?

Indeed you don't need them at all. We provide them in case you would need to restore to Apple official firmware and you can't find these firmware on the web. Remember this too: on iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1G and iPod Touch 2G you don't need saved SHSH (ECID) for downgrade. You always will be free to install all firmwares you want.



How I can extract the firmwares?

You are downloading a .zip that contains a ipsw (this is the real firmware you need to install). Some browsers and operative systems could misunderstand extensions. If you experience problems use Google Chrome browser and unzip the pack with You must login or register to view this content. (on Windows) or You must login or register to view this content. (on MacOSX). You only need to decompress the .zip and not the .ipsw



How I can install the firmwares?

Read cafully and follow the guide on the next page. If you experience problems (like 16xx errors) try this. You can also use the forum to ask for help.

Step one: This process is safe and tested, but you are doing this at your own risk. For this reason we suggest to backup your data. we absolutely recommend that you make a clean installation without restoring from a backup. We will not provide support if this rule is not respected.

Step two: Choose and download the right firmware for your device from the download page linked by "Info Button". Choose the unlocked version only if you want to unlock carrier lock or you want to skip activation process. You will find the whited00r firmware (ipsw) decompressing the zip folder.

Step three: Open iTunes on your device page. Click on RESTORE holding ALT (MacOS) or SHIFT (Windows) at the same time and select the whited00r firmware from you computer. You could get same errors messages during installation. In this case follow the guide linked by the "More info" button.

Step four: After installation (could take up to 15 minutes) iTunes will ask you if you want to restore backup. Please choose "Set up a new iPhone/iPod" to improve speed and avoid strange problems. Clean installation is better and the the only way to get our support! If some features don't get enabled reboot your device twice and update Cydia.

I posted the original version (3.1.3) of whitedoor cfw.. Nd it runs amazingly.. Haven't tested this yet but I'm hoping for the same results.. =D

I have an iphone 3gs which is running 4.3 and my itouch 2g which is also running 4.3 it's amazing! =D
