Update to on 4.3.1 if you wanna get the tire consuming work over with now. If not, then do it later. Or wait, and stay on 4.2.1. You're probably gonna update eventually, so when you have free time on the weekend or whatever, update and jailbreak.

I went from 4.2.1 JB with GreenPois0n to 4.3.1 JB with redsnow. Everything that I use is compatible and I find redsnow more reliable so I would update.

stay on 4.2.1 since it has more compatibility than 4.3

I wouldent upate I was still on 4.1 but i only updated because of some problems to 4.2.1 lower ur firmware is more apps in cydia supports it
